Having seen billboards for Spearmint Rhino...
Having seen billboards for Spearmint Rhino plastered all over town, and having heard so many great reviews from friends, I had high expectations for my very first visit. I was never really interested in going to a Spearmint Rhino because I am generally put off by the quick sell technique. You know what I'm talking about.
While the establishment was nice, offering very comfortable seats, and in a seemingly safe neighborhood, the establishment lacked personality and was heavy on the quick sell. Most of the girls did not make any rounds with the guests. Those that did were simply for the quick sell and nothing else. I am hoping it was merely the time of day and the economy.
The place also has a very strange business model. You can buy Spearmint Rhino chips, essentially poker chips in 20 dollar denominations, minimum of 100 dollars. You can use the chips like money except to buy merchandise at the Spearmint Rhino in which you purchased them. What is strange is that they charge you a surcharge of 10%. Obviously it is a very bad deal.
