I arrived at Perfection around 2:45 AM on a Wednesday night. The bouncer at the door asked me for ID, which he examined and then put into a machine, which I guess recorded an image of my ID. (In hindsight, I should've left when I saw he was about to do so. I understand it's to have a record for security purposes — according to some comments on Strip Club List, there was a shooting or two when this place was called Phenomenon — but there's nothing to stop club staff from using the image for other reasons, e.g., to embarass a patron by contacting his S.O.) He also gave me a quick patdown. Just past the entrance turnstile was a metal detector, which wasn't in use at the time. The cover was $10, which surprised me because the club's Web site says (in the Events section), "Offering free admission and sexy women, Perfection is [yadda yadda yadda]."
I don't remember what Phenomenon looked like, so I can't say if Perfection is different. The space is dominated by the main stage and the main bar, which surrounds the main stage, in the middle. There are various sectioned-off areas on the sides, which I guess are VIP areas (not rooms). I don't remember if there are any non-VIP seats for anyone who doesn't want to sit at the bar (sorry). The DJ booth is in one corner and is elevated. There are a number of flat-panel TV's around the club. After circling the bar and stage to have a look at the club, I sat at the corner near the DJ booth. This was a mistake because the speakers are along that side of the bar, and the music (which was typcial strip-club dance fare — don't ask me to describe it any better than that) was so loud, the bass vibrated the bar.
I'd say that the ladies I saw during my visit there were 7's and 8's with the exception of a couple of 9's. Oddly, a few of them didn't take off their tops while onstage. Some of them really knew how to work the pole (there are several on the stage) and/or shake their asses. There were two or three onstage at a time. When done on the stage, some (not all) went around the inside of the bar to collect tips. This happened infrequently enough that it didn't bother me. The only other way to tip a dancer for her stage work is to ball up a bill and throw it on stage.
