It had been awhile since I had been to the Playpen, what a change...good and bad. First the IL No Smoking sure have had an effect in some bars, and this was one of them. Some nights you use to need a knife to cut thru it, not anymore.

I don't know if it was due to no smoking or the economy, but the place was not all that crowded. The ladies there were OK, with a few exceptions. Some of the younger ones were more about just going thru the motions, while one in her early/mid 30s was a bit more eager to please. It kind of may you wonder if this was the only source of income for her family.

The area is not all that bed as some others have indicated. It is not the best area but when you put it up against East St Louis & Washington Park....well nuf said. Basically, I have been in worse areas and I have been in better. Be aware of your surroundings and you should be fine. Camera monitor both inside and out.
