If you're used to clubs in North America, then visiting Chochotte will make for a different (and very interesting) experience.

As noted by previous reviewers, this club really is a 'theatre', as the name implies. It is a 'spectacle erotique', a show that you watch. The show might consist of one woman sensually stripping, several women staging an erotic play of sorts, or even a lesbian encounter. Regardless of what it is, you can be sure that it will be done with elaborate costumes and some degree of artfulness. That's part of what makes this place so interesting.

On top of that, however, is the venue itself. The theater is very small -- it only seats 20 or so people, and patrons sit on two tears of sofas/chairs along one side of the small room. The show happens in the small space in front of you, and occasionally this spills over to involve some audience interaction, with the dancers performing among the audience members or even laying across your lap. Yes, that's right, they may be performing lesbian acts in your lap, which is definitely erotic to say the least.
