I'm writing this review for Maxim in Zurich, but it could also apply to Club DuPont and Manhattan Cabaret, both in Lucerne. Might be a Swiss thing. Nearly all the girls are from the former Russian bloc - most from Ukraine. The lone exception was a 'girl' from Thailand at Club DuPont, who sounded and looked a lot like a made-up man. He was wearing larger panties, and didn't take them off on stage, unlike the others who took everything off for about 3 seconds at the end of the song. The deal with all these clubs is: no cover charge, you enter a small club where about 10 women are sitting around a bar, you order a beer for about 22 Swiss Fr [nearly 1.1 to $1 US], you get whatever beer the house sells [no choice], then after about a minute, the girl leaves her seat and joins you, "My name is Olga. What's yours?, Where are you from? I'm from Ukraine. How long are you in Zurich?" [I swear, they were all like that.], then after about 5 minutes of such chit-chatting the menu comes out. The menu lists champagne by the glass and by the bottle. The glass is about 40 Fr, and the bottle ranges from 250Fr to 4900Fr. Girls only drink champagne, no beer. If you want conversation with the girl at the bar, buy the glass - no time duration specified, and even though I asked, they either didn't understand or won't say. Bottle gets you to a booth, away from the bar. After being firm about not willing to pay 250Fr, she left, and a minute later another one comes along. Same story as above. This time Nadia. I didn't blow 250Fr, so that's all I know. I was told that as soon as I spend for the champagne, the sell comes for lap dances, and then for other activities. But I decided I could get much, much better value in the US. What a ripoff!, but I'm glad I at least tried 3 places.
