Staying in the...
Staying in the city overnight to see a play, I suggested to the wife that we check out Flashdancers. We arrived around seven and paid $20 at the door. The price would increase to $20 each by eight o'clock. The cover was not bad, but they quickly guide you to the coat check where you have to pay to check your coat. The mens room was tiny and had an attendant to give you soap and turn on the water for you. The ladies room was also small and was where the dancers get prepared for the night. Twelve dollar Heinekens and ten dollar bottles of water. I suggest you have a few before you arrive.
As or the layout, there is a main stage off to the right of the entrance and a bar area where dancers prance around while the bartenders get your drinks. There was also a VIP area beyond the main stage but we did not go there. Sitting at a table across from the main stage provided a good view, just don't sit in front of the beams that hold up the ceiling. The girls walking around asking if you want a back rub or a fresh drink were not overly pushy and were pleasant enough.
The dancers ranged from 7s to 9s. Most were very good looking. Three girls on the stage at once; entering on the left, disrobing in the center and dressing again on the right. One song at each "station." The DJ was pretty annoying, constantly naming which girl was entering or leaving either the main stage or the bar area. I guess that is how they keep them moving. The upside to this is there is always a new girl coming up to the stage every few minutes. As the next shift came on, it was obvious that many more girls were going to be dancing as the night progressed. Not all the girls were enthusiastic, however, and some of the best looking girls there were the least expressive in their dances. Only three used the pole as it is meant to be used.
