Checked out the Mermaid last week...

Checked out the Mermaid last week and it was about the same as usual. 2 for 1 drinks are the norm with a decent pour, beers under $5. The dancers are getting stale here however, it just isnt the same as a bikini bar, and it doesn't look like they are getting a topless permit anytime soon.

The attitude is a bit lacking as well on the dancer's part. The economy isn't helping anything, but who want's to be reminded of it when you are trying to have a good time?

Overall, a neighborhood type bar, may return when in the area but not highly recomended. Strictly middle to lower in the WPB lineup.
