Rachel's is sort of a "tweener"...

Rachel's is sort of a "tweener" club, in the sense that it's not exactly upscale, but neither is it particularly scary.

Normal dance price is $25, which is somewhat negotiable depending on the dancer and the night of the week. Sunday seems to be the best night to get a deal, I think because the dancers have smaller tip-outs to pay that night. There is no uptime when two-for-ones are offered. The lap-dance setup is decent, consisting of several small "rooms" screened off from the main bar area with smoked glass partitions. Even though the partitions are glass, the lighting is such that you can't see into the private rooms from the bar. The bouncer makes rounds, but he doesn't watch too closely, and in a dozen visits, I've been asked to cool it maybe once or twice. Mileage varies, as at most places, with your choice of girl, but with the right girl, contact is at least as good as or better than at K, DG, and X. Nothing like what I used to get at Rumors and the old Playaz club, but I'm out of that scene these days. I'm happy to put my hands on a supple young body and receive "sufficient" grinding.

Dancers are mostly in the 6 to 8 or 9 range, and the quality is definitely improving with the new girls this club is picking up. Some wear pasties and some don't. Those who don't wear pasties keep their bikini tops on while on stage. The nice thing about that, of course, is that there are no pasties to deal with if a top accidentally slips down during a private dance.
