The Blockist has left his Baltimore/Block...

The Blockist has left his Baltimore/Block home base and visited Detriot about once a year for the last 5 years, visiting a couple of the clubs in the 8-mile area. My favorite has been Le Chambre for it's informal and relatively high mileage atmosphere. I spent an enjoyable lunch time there this time, and it was about the same as usual. This time, I decided to expand my horizons a bit and try a couple of the Inkster places since I had a late flight and they are near the airport. I had Henry VIII and Bogart's on my list based on other reviewers.

Bogart's had about 12 dancers (seemed high for the time of day - but no complaints), none below an 8 - some near 10. Most offered a "**** for $!" menu. Wait staff were uniformly friendly and anxious to recommend specific dancers for a trip to the VIP. I was tempted, but my purpose was exploratory this trip and I didn't want to tire the "indicator stick", so I contented myself with assessing the general atmosphere. I wanted to take several samples and then rate based on the "norm" (I forwent actual experience this time just so I could perform my reviewer function for your benefit - thanks should be in order...). I have no reason to doubt the "experience factor" ratings of other reviewers - it seemed evident from the steady flow of VIP-bound customers and their returning smiles. Based on the overall trip experience, I have put Bogart's on the "Definitely will return" end of the spectrum. Expect a more in-depth, hands-on review after my next trip.
