I visit the Diamond Club Cabaret...

I visit the Diamond Club Cabaret 1-2 times a year hoping to find that management finally gets it right with the only Houston club inside the loop. Without fail I'll leave after one or two drinks, disappointed, and reminded that even a great location can be completely wasted if it can't attract great dancers.

The club, next to a decent Mexican restaurant, is quite small. From the main door the largest stage on the left side of the main room is small compared to other clubs. Additionally there is a smaller stage on the right side and a tiny circular stage in the middle not far from the door.

On a lucky visit you'll find one dancer who would be a 5 or 6 at any other club, but here stands out among the other dancers. This was the case when I swung by last Saturday. Unfortunately, she visited with another customer the entire time. I waited at the bar hoping another decent dancer would emerge from the back before my drink and patience were finished.
