Having read numerous reviews on this site before my visit, I felt like I knew what I was getting with Mons Venus. Still, there were a few surprises, and I definitely learned a lot, which I hope to share.

As noted in other reviews, it costs $20 to enter the club, which will get you in and out all day. Drinks (all non-alcoholic) are expensive, but there is little pressure to buy them. Lap dances are $20-30, with the final price set by the dancer. If you do not negotiate beforehand, the dancer will almost certainly request $30, but I found most willing to dance for $25, and some for $20. Most also offer multi-dance deals around 3 for $50.

The building itself is very small -- smaller than a fast food restaurant -- and is buried among fast food and chain restaurants. It's easy to just drive by, since the sign is small and is much less obtrusive than that of 2001 across the street. Once inside, the club doesn't seem much bigger. In the afternoon, it is sparsely populated, so there's plenty of room. But it really picks up after dark and stays that way until 2 am, when most of the seating is taken. Some dancers told me that on Fridays and Saturdays (and definitely during special events, e.g. the Superbowl), it's often standing room only.
