I'm a periodic visitor to Tampa...

I'm a periodic visitor to Tampa and always work in a visit to 2001. It has tended to be my favorite club there, but my visit this week left me with some reservations. My biggest issue is the predatory nature of many of the girls, who virtually jump you as soon as you walk in the door. I paid my cover, bought my drink, I'm there! Give me a little time and breathing room to relax and take in the lay of the land. There should be a 15 minute rule before besieging incoming customers for a dance. I had my eye on a girl that I would have spend significant coin on, but I couldn't get to her because of advances from others. I am polite by nature, so I didn't tell them to get lost. One other thing - the guy guarding the private cubicle area was rude, unlike my previous times there. All in all, the $5 toll for passage to that area is cumbersome and the general upselling at 2001 is tedious. I basically got run out the door and across the street by all those annoyances. It's so much simpler across the street at Mons. $20 to get in, $20 a dance, very efficient. 2001 wants $25 a dance (you can do better but you have to work it), AND you have to give $5 to a sullen muscle bound guy for the privilege. Not a feel good experience. The only saving grace is that once you fight through all that, the dances in the cubicles tend to be high quality with good privacy save for the occasional drive-by Hans the gatekeeper.
