I've separated this review in two parts. One part club, one part personal experience. Read what you want!

Went here after work late on a Tuesday night. I sort of knew what to expect thanks to the reviews here, but I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this place. This is a long drive for me coming from the O'Hare area and I wasn't really sure I was in the right place. Polekatz is on 100th Place just west of Harlem next to a giant Conway freight terminal. I was slightly annoyed by the fact that you had to valet your car. It was 5 bucks before tip, but that annoyance was erased by the very reasonable 5 dollar cover charge this evening.

The club itself is huge, at least for my standards. There are four giant screens showing various sporting events on two walls. There's a large stage in the middle of the main area that sports two floor to ceiling poles. There's also a large bar commanding the center of the room. The main area just has bistro tables and high chairs, so the comfort level isn't what I'm used to at a typical Las Vegas style club like Olympic Garden. However for an additional fee (I think 20 dollars) you can sit in the VIP area which is just off the main area. The VIP area has comfy chairs, it's own bar and stage area as well. About 1/4 of the seats in the VIP have full view of the main area. In the VIP, the host will bring girls over to you, while in the main area, the girls come looking for you. I was really only here to check the place out, unwind, have a few beers and watch the Utah-Houston game. So VIP and no large expenditures of cash. At least that was the plan on paper.
