Dropped by here on a Thursday...

Dropped by here on a Thursday night on my way home from the Strawberry festival. Its been awhile since I last visited after swearing off this place after a couple of high priced rather lame encounters here. I have always disliked the "nickel and dime" attitude here: 15 bucks at the door, mandatory drink or 5 bucks for a bottle of water, 10 bucks for a room each time you LD, 8 bucks for a drink for the dancer and the "cheap ass" sneer from the bar tender when I say NO, a tip when I go take a piss. All the stuff I dislike is still here and they have now added more. They have now increased the LD dance pressure by having all the dancers on stage about every 40 minutes offering “specials” that basically are three dances for 50 bucks (10 bucks off the regular price)’ You still have to stand in line to pay the 10 buck room fee and of course answer the required “do you want to buy the dancer a drink” question. In between specials, the dancers set in a group by the DJ stand waiting on the next special to begin. A few sat with their regulars. This club is designed to obtain for itself as much of the customers money as possible and the dancers are getting short changed here as a result. I suspect this is why the dancer enthusiasm is so low. I never been here when there was a lot of customers and some of the customers that were here seemed a little scary, but this place is in a scary part of town, so I guess they are on their own turf.

Believe it or not, there are some things I still like about this place. The stage dances are sometimes better than anywhere in Tampa. It depends on the girl, of course, but if the right one is on stage and there are tippers sitting at the stage, you can get a great show that is better than some of the LD I have gotten here. This may be the only time the dancer gets to keep all the money she earns. Also the interior of the club is nice, clean and well lit with very comfortable seats.

In short, if you want to overspend on a rather ordinary strip club experience, then this is the place. There are better places in the Tampa Bay area.
