First, I should say that I haven't been to Desire in a few years and second, that I am a major fan of Fantasies - see reviews I have posted there. However, there have lots of excellent reviews lately so I figured it was worth a shot. However, it is unlikely I will go back. I guess it really is what you are looking for.

On the positive side, there are a large number of girls and most are young and fairly attrative. They did have a few older and chubby girls but on par I would guess most girls I saw were in their 20's and slim build (and this is my perfect dancer). However, the negatives far outweigh the positives, at least for me. First, the club is real small, although there were plenty of places to sit near the stage. Second, there is only one small stage that was being used and it is topless, although the girls did tend to move their thong so you could get a decent view of the kitty. Third, the place felt more like a bar that just happened to have had topless girls dancing. Most of the guys there were sitting at the bar as compared to watching the girls. Fourth, the dance prices were a bit high for my taste - if I remember correctly, $25 for topless in a very open area (essentially one large couch that is a bit set aside but absolutely no privacy if there is more than one customer there), $35 for topless in a closed booth, and $45 for a nude dance in a closed booth. If you wanted 15 minutes of a nude dance in the booth, it was $120 or you could spend several hundred by going to the champagne room (I think for 1/2 hour it was $250 plus another $100 the cost of a bottle of champagne). However, the real downside for me was that while all the girls I asked (about 5 or so in the 45 minutes I stayed) indicated that reasonable ocntact was allowed (boobs, ass, arms, legs), everyone was pretty clear that no extras were provided, at least in the booths and most indicated that there was no touching of the kitty. In addition, the girls seem to get insulted that I even asked what happened in the booths. This is a common question I have seen at other Providence clubs, especially at Fantasies and while not all girls at Fantasies provide extras (mostly hand-jobs), it is fairly common. Oh, one more thing, at other Providence clubs, when you sit at the stage, you get a mini lap dance for a couple of bucks and it is pretty common to see guys grabbing boobs or the girls grabbing a guys crotch. This definately didn't happen at Desire, although most of the girls that I saw did put your head between her boobs, the customers did not touch the girls on stage.

So...it really depends on what you want. If you are used to Boston clubs and want a nice "gentleman's club" experience with some contact and don't mind paying the prices (or don't want lap dances at all) and don't mind a fairly small club, then Desire could be a great place for you. However, if you are looking for a bit more action or are trying to be a bit conservative on your pocket book, try Club Fantasies or some other clubs in Providence.
