I attended the New Locomotion in...

I attended the New Locomotion in a whim, on my own, on a Thursday afternoon after the work day. The club is large, apparently carved out of a warehouse, with high ceilings and a lot of room. There were something like 12 patrons in the club area proper, and the dancer count was something close to that, I think.

There was nonstop stage performance in the 45 mins or so that I was there, that was a good thing. However, ‘performance’ is applied loosely. Song were short, no one was ‘dancing’ as such, and, I guess in the same vein that the law of the jungle rewards the most efficient, the last song was performed, not with tops and bottoms off, but with tube tops lifted, bra triangles moved aside, and g-string pushed down to mid-thigh. The stage area was also quite poorly lit. A large screen TV on the left was showing golf…a large screen TV on the right was showing EuroPorn. The EuroPorn was a lot brighter than anything going on on the stage.

I was pleasantly surprised: the creative staff were definitely in the 7-9 range. No problem at all there.
