I stopped at noon Tuesday just after thy opened. They had four dancers doing 2 song stage sets, pretty uninspired, and topless only. However, it was the lunch crowd with the lights turned up, and only getting $1-3 in tips per set how can you expect a dancer to be inspired. One was a tall athletic brunette beauty, one a mature every enhanced blonde, one skinny black girl, and one very obese black dancer who should not be allow on stage. They had several lunch specials and a pretty good crowd of apparent regulars there just for the meal and to watch a topless girl at a distance. I did have a cheeseburger which was very good, $4.25 including a coke with free refills. I did VIP dances ($20 per) with the tall brunette and the enhanced MILF, both gave great full contact full grind dances, but I really didn’t feel much connection with either. The $10 entry for the VIP is for the entire day, and is reasonable, and a nice feature. But the dances cost double those of the Paradise, and the songs appear to be either very short by dancer’s selection or may be cut. Compared to clubs in most parts of the country the “Bird” would rank very high. But with the competition in Lawrence this one just doesn’t measure up for me. I’m sure I will put Allstar’s (see review) on the must stop list and probably skip the Flamingo on the next trip. Silly Old Bob
