The club has gone through a major renovation. It is now called the Cheetah club. It has the look of an upscale club, comparable to Christies, but about one-tenth the size. The entrance is now at the back of the club. There is a separate room for the admission desk. Then you enter the main room, with a large stage taking up the corner on the left. There are 15 small, two-chair, tables in front of the stage, three booths at the back of the room (intended for table dances), what appears to a small VIP room with glass doors at the back, and a bar with about 8 stools along the right wall. There are also stairs leading to a second floor VIP area. I didn't go up there. There is actually less floor space for customers than there used to be because of the space taken up by stage, office, bar, VIP,etc.

Now, here's the part I can't figure out. It's a really small club. You could fit 30-40 people in there if you really squeezed everyone together. When I was there, there were exactly two dancers (a 6 and an 8), two bouncers, a bartender, waitress, and 2-5 customers. For every song where a dancer was on stage, there were two where the stage was empty. The topless clubs in town tend to be larger, high-energy, slightly rowdy affairs with dozens of dancers to choose from. Cheetahs has more a vibe of the small nude club, except it is topless and sells booze. The dances on the main floor are out in the open and don't seem to be any different than every other topless club in town as far as mileage.

My guess is that they are trying to set the club apart as exclusive and intimate, though the staff doesn't act any different than other less-exclusive clubs. But, when it comes down to it, I don't go to a club because of interior design. I go for the girls. I like lots to choose from and top notch dances. Cheetahs doesn't have that. I'll try this place again after it is more established and see if I'm missing something. I guess we could use one club in town that is upscale without being warehouse size.
