I've never been to a strip...

I've never been to a strip club before and decided to go Saturday night with my fiance. We are both clean cut, well dressed, attractive, educated professionals,and both over 37 years old. Upon entering the establishment, the door man said he needed to see our ID's. I tried to make small talk with him but he turned and walked away. After my fiance returned with our identification, this arrogant and rude door man charged us $5.00 each to enter and then proceeded to use a metal detector on my fiance, checking for weapons. I thought maybe this was policy being that it was my first experience at a strip club, but my fiance later told me that he had been there before and they never asked for ID's or scanned him for weapons, and usually didn't charge women to enter. I was excited to be there, the atmosphere was very intimate, the dancers were beautiful. Once we were seated a waitress came up to us twice, we did order drinks but then she ignored/avoided us the rest of the night (yes we tip). I was surprised reading the comment by one saying they were the friendliest girls he had ever seen in a club. I felt the service and attitude of the wait staff was horrible. I wouldn't know about the girls, because no one ever approached us. We left and went to a night club in N.O. and had a wonderful, exciting time. The girls were beautiful and the attitude of the staff, bar tenders, and girls were excellent. They made us feel most welcome, unlike Scuttlebutt's where we felt very much out of place and awkward. I will not be going back to Scuttlebutt's. There are much friendly places to go.
