Well, Scores goes up and down. The clubs in the French Quarter are always a hit-or-miss proposition. Scores is still opening later than most clubs, which may be a good idea, because it shows that they're not willing to charge you their exorbitant prices just to let you sit in a room where there are thirty guys while some coked out girl in the dressing room keeps yelling to the DJ that she'll "be right there," which is the norm for most clubs in the afternoon and off-hour shifts in NOLa. But it's also a bad plan for Scores, since it means the girls have learned that the "official" starting time is 9, which means they don't "have to" get there until midnight. So, you're always dealing with a limited, limited supply of hotties. Scores is odd in that there are some super-humongous ghetto-style black women who dance here, but they do so with a rather up-East white-yacht-club mentality. I can't figure it out. Also, most of the girls are very very quick to hint that there is no hanky-panky here. "I used to work in Buffalo, but I never crossed the border to Canada because up there anything goes in a strip club and I am a decent moral God-fearing American (who removes her clothing for perfect strangers)." I'd like to be able to say that there was one club where you could rely on there being sufficient hotties, with low stress, in the French Quarter, and Scores is SOMETIMES it, but they're not reliably dishing it up. Sometimes you just get an empty room, or three annoying fatties. Oh, and did I mention? The prices are gi-normous. Unreasonably high.
