I stopped The Top for the first time in 4 years. I was pleasantly surprised. They have remodeled the entire building and I must say I was impressed with the improvements. The doorman was pleasant. There was a $10 cover and a band was applied to my wrist. The waitress was a very cute petite thing and she really hustled. Drinks were moderately priced. The dancers ranged from 4 to 8 but gave it their all on the stage. There were only a few patrons and I enjoyed a very pleasant 45 minute conversation with a well-built blonde. I had a few of her table damces but they were mostly air-as were the VIP dances that I could see. She informed me the city has them on a very tight lease and they are trying desperately to not break any ordinances. If you are looking for action and extras, this is not the place to go but I did enjoy my visit. I might stop by again. I wish the petite waitress would take up dancing. This club is much improved since my last visit. I felt safe and most of the patrons were white. There was a security presence but they stayed in the background and let the girls work and the customers enjoy themselves.
