Like a Dickensian storyline, the Hip Hugger can be a Tale of Two Strip Clubs. It can be the best of times or the worst of times. After about a years absence, I made a return visit - unfortunatey this was one of the bad times.

Because of the unique pay-out situation for the dancers (there is none), normally, one can expect at least 40-50 girls at this place. And while there will always be a few dogs in the group, overall the talent is pretty impressive for small town club. I arrived late in the afternoon and there were only 6 dancers in the club. A few more arrived at the evening shift change, but there were fewer girls that I have ever seen at the Hugger. I would accept the lower number of dancers - but the quality was not there either. They were mostly unattractive girls, looking like they were in need of their hit of meth. I don't know what the deal was - they appeared more like unemployed ladies from the local Chrysler plant rather then strippers.

This club can be fantastic. Afterall, it is home of the legendary $10 full-contact dance. But on this visit, it was a bad, bad experience.
