Dancers resorting to begging? I love coming to Shotgun’s to forget about the world’s troubles. The last thing I expect is to deal with is a girl begging for a lap dance! I stopped by on a Wednesday night around 6:30 (so I can get in for only $3). The girls were in the 6-7 range, and I sat down at the stage of a cute brunette coed type. About 5 seconds later, she said she was short what she had to pay to dance there, and begged me for a lap dance or she would get fired! I politely said, “No,” then dealt with the long awkward moments until another guy showed up at her stage and I could make my get-away.

The talent at Shotties used to be the best in Denver, girls in the 7-8-9 territory, but since the economy went downhill the girls are now hovering around 5-6-7. Don’t get me wrong, I still love coming here: the girls usually pay attention to you at the stage, and don’t normally pressure you for lappies. It’s still got the best strippers in Denver, but it used to have the most beautiful girls in town. Now there’s just too many biker tattoos and single moms making ends meet. Let’s hope the economy gets better soon!
