I was in town for a conference in July 2008 and was looking forward to hitting the strip. If you have never been to New Orleans before, the first time you walk down Bourbon is a bit overwhelming due to the sheer volume of strip clubs and drinking establishments available. It's definately worth traveling there at least once in your lifetime.

After some careful research on TUSCL, I chose Ricks because it appeared to be one of the classier places on the block.

When I got inside, I was immediately hit up for an overpriced watered down drink and was escorted to a table close to the stage. There were 2 (YES TWO!?!) dancers on rotation.
