I visited Baby Dolls for the first time on a Saturday night, arriving around 8pm. My initial impressions: the place is huge, and very TEXAS in it's hugeness. Lots of areas to explore, lots of TV screens, lots of waitresses, and not a lot of hot dancers. By 9pm I was ready to bolt. As impressed as I was by the layout, there were just too few babes, too few good dances going on. The locals had told me earlier that day that Baby Dolls is no longer the hot ticket in town. At any rate, I had become somewhat involved in a football game by then, so I enjoyed my beer and noticed that the place was gradually filling up. By 11pm it was pretty packed, and a lot more girls had shown up to work. I would say that the talent here is not as scintillating as at my favorite clubs elsewhere (Flight Club in Detroit, for instance). On the other hand, there are lots of 6 to 8 quality girls, there are 7 stages going at all times, the songs are a decent length, the DJ stays out of the way, the bouncers stay out of the way, and the dances are consistently high contact. Oh, and the cleanest bathroom Ive seen in a strip club. gotta like that.
