The Downer parking lot was crammed...

The Downer parking lot was crammed (as expected on a Saturday evening), and I'm not a fan of a crowded frat house atmosphere. The Penthouse almost always offers a lower-key yet reasonable alternative, and this visit was no exception.

The talent level is decent, but not up to Downer standards. There are a few dancers who really should be in a different line of work. Of course, they usually don't have many customers, and tend to whine a bit - or more than a bit - when you say "No thanks". But the good ones are a lot of fun. Extras are not at all common, but the experienced dancers tend to be a bit friskier - you tend to get more nipples-in-the-mouth here than at the Downer. The stage show is decent-to-good. The laps are nice and grinding, lots of contact, and the patron can touch the dancer everywhere except between the legs.

The Downer just down the road is a better club. But if the crowds and vibe on really busy nights puts you off, the Penthouse offers a more relaxed alternative.
