Went to Mickey's when in town....

Went to Mickey's when in town. A young crowd, which is probably because it is close to a military base. They almost didn't let me in without buying a "membership," and I'm not keen on the idea of giving any personal information to a club. When I suggested I might leave, a second lady at the counter "signed me in" as her guest. I don't know if this is all because of laws or them trying to get contact info to market. I didn't like it. Other than that, I did enjoy the club. The stage is very long allowing a lot of room to get close to it as the dancer makes her rounds. There is also a raised platform on the far side of the stage that sits maybe a foot above it. This means you also get the choice of sitting above the stage or under it (like at most places). I liked the change of sitting on the raised platform because when the dance comes up to you she is standing and can do some entertaining moves you usually don't get when sitting at a typical raised stage. i liked that a lot.

There was a room across from the stage with windows and dancers were entertaining in there. I didn't ask if that was the VIP area since I didn't like that it was completely in view of the entire club. I spent most of the night just watching the stage and not being asked once for a private dance (although they were pretty busy). Almost at the very end of the night a dancer asked me if I'd like a private dance and I said sure. She took me to a room that was across form the bar that I would have NEVER realized was there from where I was sitting. I completely missed the private dance area (which is what I prefer). It's not completely private in there. There are several booths set up and some do face each other. But it's comfy and I had a good quick By the Book dance.

PROS: Unique stage, Hot Ladies, Nice selection, Not Pushy

CONS: Membership, Seems completely By The Book.
