I needed to kill some time...

I needed to kill some time in the area just after 1:00 p.m. and drove by and saw a good number of vehicles in the parking lot and decided to give the place another try.

I paid my $5 pole tax and sat myself down and enjoyed the show a while. After a while a waitress finally came by and got me a beer. As I was looking around, the number of people inside seemed less than the number of vehicles???? The dancers were reasonably attractive, but their interaction with customers at the stage was somewhat limited in duration before they wanted their $1.

I tipped a 30s thin blond dancer and when she got off stage she came by for a sit and then a dance. She was nice and the dance was reasonably hot, but poor value for a Tuesday when dances @ Joy of Austin are $5 and $10 @ Perfect 10. Dances are done at an exposed couch area or in chairs. Chair dances are inherently somewhat different than couch dances because of horizontal limits. There were also some small booths in the back with open doorways pretty open to the bar area. She preferred doing the dance in a chair along the wall and away from other customers etc. and that worked well. A good competent dance, but no reason to expect things would get any better if the dances continued.
