"You can't judge a book by its cover" would be one slogan to describe Concepts Lounge in Lawrenceburg, IN. At first glance from the outside, the building blends in with the small town community and doesn't jump out at you with the neon flashing signs or fancy outer appearances that you see at other clubs. Don't let the outside appearance keep you from venturing through the door though. Once inside you will find a pretty decent amount of space in the main area. There are two stages in Concepts. During the week, they utilize only the main stage in the front area of the lounge, while on Fridays and Saturdays they open up the other stage. There are a few tables set up; however, most of the seating is along the wall on barstools. During the week, its not hard to find a seat; however, there is limited seating on Fridays and Saturdays depending on when you go. The private dance area is located behind a wall; however, there aren't any couches. There is just a seat cushioned bench that wraps around the wall in the limited space. There aren't any dividers there either, so there isn't much privacy. All in all, it's not too bad because you not only get to watch the dancer you're with, but you can also see the dances other girls give so you know who you may want to get another dance with later in the evening.
The prices are pretty reasonable. Admission is about $5 during the week, and maybe a little more on Fridays or Saturdays, but not much more. They have an admission discount on their website. Drink prices aren't bad either. $3 for soft drinks and I think about $4 or so for a variety of beers (Bud, Diet Bud, Coors, Corona, etc). Dances are about $15. They have specials during the night such as 2 for $25. Thursday night is the 2 for $25 night and they have other specials during the week such as $10 dance night and so forth. They may have buy a dancer a drink options, but I haven't been approached or pressured to do this. The club is pretty well laid back. There isn't a dj running the sound for the dancers. He introduces the dancers and that is about it. The dancers must pay for their songs and feed the jukebook type of music machine. Now and then some of the dancers try to get patrons to give them a dollar or two to pay for their songs before they go on stage.
The girls are all pretty friendly and don't constantly hassle or pressure you. The majority of the dancers are pretty attractive and there is a wide variety of options to choose from if you will. As far as the dances go, they vary from dancer to dancer. I received dances from several different ladies and each one was different. Some like to grind on you more than others, but they were all definitely worth the $. After the dance, several of the dancers would come over and sit and talk with you for a while. So, like I have already said, it is a pretty friendly and laid back atmosphere.
