It’s always interesting to visit clubs in the TUSCL Top 10 list and try to understand how a club makes it on the list. All I can figure is that there are a number of guys that have limited perspective on what other clubs across the country are like and tend to pump up the ratings of their favorite local club. Quite honestly, if I lived in Buffalo and went across the border to the Sundowner, I’d probably give it a 10 compared to any club in Buffalo.

I decided to visit this club late on a Saturday afternoon before the rowdy bachelor party crowd typically hits the club later in the evening. To my surprise, there were a number of cars in the parking lot. Inside there were a bunch of guys sitting around the main stage. Odd though, unlike most clubs I normally visit, I did not witness much tipping on stage.

I would best describe this place as a “strip club” more than a gentleman’s club. They clearly cater to the 19+ guys from Buffalo. I saw a lot of pitchers of beer on the tables and not one bottle of champagne. You’ll see more guys in baseball caps, sneakers, jeans and sweatshirts than guys Armani suits. I was pretty hungry and decided to pay $7 for their buffet. I got better food in my college cafeteria than at the Sundowner. I think it actually gave me diarrhea the next morning.
