Whenever in the Chicago area, I tried to make a stop into the IS. It's about a 30 min drive from Chicago and pretty easy to find (except the signing, look for "This Is It" and neon). Anyway, the club has changed much over the past couple of years since it went thru a major renovation. Inside is much more upscale that it used to be when this place first opened about 10 yrs ago. My past ratings of IS has probably avg a "9", but the club seemed a little off on my last trip, which was a Tues evening. There were about 7 girls and probably many guys. Girls were lower on the scale than in the past, probably ranging from about 5-7. Dances haven't changed any, which is a good thing. Just a very slow night. Granted it was a tues, but I think I've been mid-week on past trips and I don't recall it being so depressed. One of the girls told me they were likely going to close early. This is still one of my favorite clubs and I'll be back on my next trip to the area.
