I thought of this club because...

I thought of this club because I worked there last year around the time hunting season commenced. According to a DJ I know who has worked there off and on about 8 years and the dancers I talk to out of Louisiana and Mississippi, deer season is to Illusions what OTC week is to Treasures. In other words, imagine deer leases packed with men away from the wife, drinking beer, and looking to have uninhibited fun. LOL.

If liquor is your poison you have to bring it in, beer is all you will find behind the bar. Illusions was a nude club when I was there...20 dollars must hit the stage before the panties are make an exit...the dances can be nude or not according to the dancer but are no-touch and enforced by a security guard staring you down. The girls that were there seemed pretty familiarized with each other even family-like if you can apply that word to a strip club, which had me thinking they must be satisfied with management and profit if they had all been working there a while. They were generally nice and approachable. The music was rock and alternative with an occasional R&B song.

The things I wasn't crazy about were....the guys with hunting apparel on, the club looks like an old house from the outside, the girls were a little "hardcore"[defined as super skinny with obvious implants and neon colored outfits], it was small, and...there were Christian Extremists protesting in the parking lot. Also, on the dancer end of things, there isn't a flat fee, they count your dances...and just like in New York...I hate that! LOL.

I thought to write this article today because I was trying to decide if I want make a return trip now that the temperature is dropping and the deer and dollars are starting to stir. It just isn't my kind of place to work. However, if you are a naughty NRA member with the wife safely at home, Illusions is a great addition to your itinerary this fall.
