Stopped by Alex's recently and all things considered, I had a pretty good time. I made a point to sit on the front row of the raised seats facing the stage. I find you get the most milage and visibility here. Even when the club is slow, if you get seated along the stage, the dancers get pretty demanding for their tips. I understand this behavior when the club is full and there are other customers willing to tip while you have someone taking up rail space and not tipping. But when the club is empty and your the only one or one of a couple sitting at the rail for a 3 or 4 song set, it can get pretty expensive. The good (and can be bad too) thing about Alex's is they have a main stage in the middle and two pods on each side. during a set, the dancers rotate between the three stages removing an article of clothing at each rotation. The good thing is you get to see each girl up close but your favorite girl can be and another stage when she is topless or bottomless. It is long winded but this is the reason I find it better to be at the seats up and behind and you can selectively tip the girls you like. 9 times out of 10, they will come see you after their set if you tip them on stage.

At Alex's, being closer to the RI boarder give relatively high mileage for the LD's. Lots of contact (by the dancer) and teasing. Some girls will let you touch more than others so you need to ask first. I have never tried the private dance areas so I am not sure if more is available there. Alex's also offers some free appitizers during weekday afternoons and the food there is pretty good.

All in all, a nice time for a MA club.
