My final stop during my 4th...

My final stop during my 4th of July weekend in Tampa (see previous reviews) was Mons Venus. Now, as I did with my review of 2001 Odyssey, I have to qualify this score because of the bad timing of my visit.

After a very disappointing expereince at 2001 earlier in the day, I decided to make my way across the street to Mons. It was my second visit to this club (my last visit resulted in a score of 8 after a Friday night visit in March). But this visit was much different than my last. I stopped by at about 5 pm on Sunday, July 4th. I paid $20 cover (pretty steep) but I remember how many hot girls there were the last time and after my expereince at 2001 I needed something to pick me up fast. So, I paid the cover expecting my day to pick up with several hot girls. Now, I knew that since it was a Sunday afternoon and not many cars were in the parking lot, this visit would not match my last visit which occurred during peak party time on a Friday night. But I still thought there would be 5-10 customers and maybe 8-10 dancers. No, when I walked in I was the ONLY customer. There was a girl on stage dancing naked (why, I don't know since before my arrival the club was EMPTY). Maybe she was trying out some new stuff...who knows. Anyway, she was the only person in the whole place beside the lady at the door who took my $20 bucks without blinking an eye. The cost of the cover now starts to really piss me off as I was beginning to doubt there were any more than 2-3 girls working. In fact, there were only 2 girls working. $20 cover for 2 girls. She could have told me that or reduced the cover as a gesture of appreciation that I even showed up. She then later asks me if I want a drink and I absolutely said no since I wasn't going to give her any more money. In fact, they should have supplied me with free drinks for the rest of my visit for a $20 cover.

Anyway, I sit up at the stage because I would have looked real cheap to sit in the back being to only customer in there. The girl on stage is a pretty atractive blonde with fake boobs and we start to talk. She feels almost embarassed since I'm the only customer. I asked if it had been like this all day and she said there had been a few people from time to time but never more than 5 people in the club at any one time all day. She said she had never seen it so slow and thought it had to be because of the holiday.
