Continuing my reviews during my recent 4th of July weekend visit to Tampa, I made my first visit to 2001. Now, I must qualify my opinion and score a little bit with the following information that certainly contributed to the low score.

First, I visited at about 3pm on Sunday July 4th. It was $6 cover but that included my first drink. Okay, that was pretty darn reasonable. When I got inside, it was almost dead. Only 4 customers and during my entire stay I only counted 5 different dancers even though the one dancer I spoke with said there were 10 girls working at that time.

Okay, it's not the club's fault that it was dead in there. Apparently, everyone was celebrating the 4th at the beach or with family and friends. That I could live with. But here is where things went south for me in this club. The only girl who came up to me was Asia. Now at first, I though this would be a good thing. She was by far the prettiest girl in there at the time. A tall, thin Asian (dah!) from Japan. From a physical standpoint, she is the type I love. I like very pretty, tight body, young and attractive, model looking girls. She really put on the charm and was all over me, rubbing and caressing me like I was the hottest thing she had seen in years. But of course, all of this was part of the plot. In fact, I knew this girl was playing me when I asked her how many days she worked a week and she said just once a week but that she made enough money in one days to pay for all of her expenses, including a new house she just bought. I then asked what other job did she have and she said none. So in one day she is able to make enough to pay for all of her weekly expenses? She looked at me as if to suggest that she was that good and she made so much off the expensive rooms that one day a week was all she needed. She tried hard to get me to go for the expensive VIP rooms (one was something like $400 for 30 minutes) and she told me I wouldn't regret it, saying the room locked and hinting that extras could be had. I told her I had just gotten there and I wanted to sit back and relax for a little bit. But because there really wasn't any other customer for her to move on to she just kept up the pressure. She basically refused no for an answer. She kept on and on and would not stop until I agreed. When I told her that the "spaceship" or whatever it is called was out of the question, she started to push for the lesser VIP rooms. When she could tell I wasn't going to go for that either, she tried to get me to go for the least expensive VIP rooms. Those were $25 per dance but she would do 3 for $60.
