Had the day off and thought...
Had the day off and thought I'd visit the new Paper Moon club in Springfield. Their website said they didn't open until 8PM on Thursday so I decided to head to 1320 instead. (They are only about a half mile apart.)
1320 is in a giant strip mall complex with Asian video stores, Afghan kebab shops, Latino markets, etc. The club is deep but narrow, with a main stage in the center and a smaller stage to the side. Dancers begin at the main stage, dance for two songs, then move to the smaller stage for two songs. After leaving the smaller stage, the dancers circulate and collect tips.
This is a pastie club, so no contact, though one of the dancers jokingly informed me they are allowed to give handshakes. (No, I don't think that was a euphemism.) Dancers were not unattractive; a couple of 5s, a couple of 6s, and a couple of 7s. They seemed to gravitate towards regulars (like at Crystal City Restaurant), so if you are not a regular you're probably just going to enjoy the scenery from a distance.
