After a busted trip to the Deja Vu just down the street, I decided to see if I could salvage my day here at the HT. I came pretty damn close to falling asleep at DV before I realized that I had wasted a trip to the San Gabriel Valley. But since I thought that I was close enough to the HT, I thought I'd give it a shot.

Walked through the front doors at about 1:30pm and had Angel greet me at the front door. He's the short, stocky hispanic dude with a buzz cut who's usally very friendly when he sees me. In the past, he's let me in without incident. But on this day, he decides to run the metal detector over my body and ask me to walk my phone back to my car. Keep in mind that he has NEVER done this in the past, and even let me in with my cell phone. I didn't give him any shit for it since I figured that the recent busts had everyone on their toes. So I set my phone back in my car and walked back in and found a seat.

A much better turnout here than at DVCOI and I felt a little more comfortable because I was familiar with this place. To my surprise, Nadia was the first to greet me. She is an absolutely stellar woman. Pretty face with an outstanding body. In bizarro HT-land, I would be rushing Nadia into the VIP before she even said anything to me. But since this was the real world, I declined her offer. But it was nice that she came over to me since she never does. I think if she took more time and sat with me and chatted, it's a good possibility that we could do a couch dance. But she doesn't, so we don't.
