I was in town for the day, and was feeling particularly wound-up. I first thought of driving all the way to the Showcase for a typically guaranteed grind. Then considered returning to the Players Club, but debated the extra cost. And the block seems too much hustle for bottom quality. So I thought I'd try out the Ritz before going anywhere else -and I'm glad I did.

I hadn't been back in years, long before remodeling, and wasn't even sure if it was even still in business. But it was open and very laid-back.

There was only one other guy in there at 6ish Wed. evening and only a couple of girls around, with a few later drifting in w/ their street clothes. At least it was still 1/2 price "Happy Hour."
