I had never been in Trumpps...
I had never been in Trumpps before, but I stopped in last Thursday night with some friends from out of town. Two different friends of mine know people who work there (staff and management, not dancers), and they both recommended that we check it out. We had a great time there except for one gripe. When we got there, my friend David and I ordered beers, and our friend Bill ordered water because he was driving. $8 for a bottled water... ouch. As David and I were finishing off the 2nd of our $7 beers, the DJ made an announcement reminding everyone that buckets of beer were on sale that night for $20. That's 5 beers for $20, and David and I had just spent $28 combined for our 4. It would have been nice if our waitress had told us about the special up front. Oh, well.
Aside from that, like I said, we had a great time. They had a lot of absolutely gorgeous girls working that night, and the ones that came up to us asking for dances were very friendly, not pushy or rude at all. Most sat down to talk for a while. It wasn't dead in there, but it wasn't packed, either. We opted to sit at a table for 4 near the stage, because we were told that it costs $20 for one of the plushy couch-type booths. That was fine with me, as it meant a little more money for stage tipping, and we weren't planning on being in there for very long, anyway. I got a few dances from Tess ("Say yes to Tess", she told me to remember) that were worth every penny.
I was told that there were two options when you go upstairs. In the "VIP" area, dances are $25 each, with a minimum of 4 dances, and for an extra $10, they will close the curtain on your booth for privacy. The non-VIP dances are also $25 each, with no minimum and no curtain on the booth.
