Passing through Huntsville on business, I decided to give Fantasia a try. The place is on the edge of town and you're likely to pass right by after dark. Look for a non-descript warehouse-style building. Parking is in a dirt lot behind the club and didn't feel especially secure.

Inside, the club wasn't too impressive. It's a mostly open, high-ceiling space with a stage in the corner and some pool tables. The few dancers I saw (4-5) were on the chubby side. It was after midnight so maybe the more popular ones were in the private dance rooms along the back wall.

The crowd, which was mostly blue collar, outnumbered the dancers about 10 to 1. The bright lights didn't help the atmosphere, either. This place -- and the girls -- would look better with a little mood lighting. I stayed close to the bar, finished my beer and left. Might try a bit earlier next time.
