I stopped here Wednesday mid afternoon, and again for lunch & early afternoon on Thursday. I’m happy to report a much better experience this trip. In the past, I seemed to be ignored, or was only approached dancers with no appeal. This time I was joined by JC or Jacey, as soon as I sat down. We soon headed to the VIP ($10 daily entry fee) and enjoyed a couple of very personal full touch dances. I also enjoyed dances with 2-3 others before leaving. On Thursday, I arrived about 12:30 and had the lunch special (chicken fried steak $7) which was very good. I then enjoyed dances from 3-4 girls. This trip the Dirty Bird had by far the best overall dancer quality (still several with bolt-on’s, but all would have been lap worthy). The Bird receives high marks the most intimate and best dances, if anything extra will happen in Lawrence, I’m convinced it will be at the Bird. It was clear with out being spoken that grinding to completion was the norm, if desired. The $20 / dance charge is double the cost of the Paradise or the Outhouse, but the very private VIP room and extremely good dances make it worth the cost. I also appreciate the lower music volume, and very quiet VIP room. After poor experiences at the Bird in the past, I am happy to report I will be back. The Bird gets the highest marks for dancer quality, dance quality, and atmospheres, but loses points for value. Silly Old Bob
