Club Wizzards is now known as...

Club Wizzards is now known as Club Atlantis...it was closed for a while due to a shooting and this has spooked some people I guess because the place is not very packed these days....even though there are usually plenty of dancers (not a bad thing for the customers!). But the club is located in a safe area and they have added metal detectors and security pat-downs...so there is no reason from the point of safety not to attend the club.

The club is large and comfortable without being upscale. There is a $10 cover after 8:00PM. The large stage is encircled by the bar. The dancers are different ethnicities with about 70% black. They dancers tend to be young and attractive, ranging from fair to great. It is one of the few places that has a lot of black dancers in Philadelphia that is not a black neighborhood club. The atmosphere is very casual and free-flowing.

After dancing two records, the dancer comes around the bar for tips, often delivering a little bar-side dance for you that, depending on the dancer, can be up close and personal. The dancers generally offer you a private dance which can be a couch dance (limited contact), VIP Room dance (usually full-contact lap-dance, depending on the dancer) and the champagne room--but I don't know what that's like.

The hustle is not hard core, the dancers are generally friendly, will chat with you, have a drink with you sometimes.

If you don't like the high-gloss, hard-hustle "gentleman's clubs", if you appreciate dancers of different ethnicities--white, black and Hispanic--then Atlantis is a good choice.
