Soobies was in the news today...

Soobies was in the news today after an armed robbery last night. Local news KGW.com reported that that the bartender was shot several times but is expected to live. The gunman got away with $5000. Both Soobies and Jody's (about a mile apart) have been using metal detectors on all patrons for the past year or so, but Soobies has called itself "ganster friendly" and frequently has groups of guys in oversized jackets and hoodies. I know that no place is totally safe, but if they've been using metal detectors, there's obviously a reason they suspect people carrying weapons. I think I'm going to avoid some of these East-side clubs for a while...
