I missed this place when in...

I missed this place when in Lawrence tuesday night as it was already closed, but stopped in on my way back from Topeka last night. This is a "private" club, which means you have to give your license and sign up for a membership - it's $10 and is good for one year from the time you entered. Not surprisingly, all of the people in the club were regulars, and the girls stayed with them. The place is small and only holds 100 people. When I got there (about 10pm on a Wednesday) there were 4 girls working and about 10 guys. However, 3 out of the 4 girls did nothing but dance when it was their turn and then stay with their regulars, either chatting or dancing. I even tried tipping some extra $$ at the stage to get the girls to come by but they were having none of it. It was a shame as the girls (Cream, Brooklyn and one other) were pretty hot. Brooklyn was Latina, with dark hair and a smokin' body. Only one other dancer (a MILF named Domino) was nice enough to come by. She made the night worthwhile for me as she was a good conversationalist and there was no pressure for dances. She told me she had been dancing for 17 years (she was 38) but you'd never know that. I got a few laps from here (no privacy, right out in the open) and her mileage was very low, but she was cool so it was OK. If she had been just going thru the motions I'd have been annoyed, but as it turns out it was kind of fun just chatting. She didn't smoke or drink either, which is different than the norm. As for atmosphere, it's not really inviting. Dirtly couches and chairs, broken tables, and general junkiness. Domino told me the club picks up closer to summer time and is often packed wall to wall. When it is, there is a semi-private area in the back. Also, when I was getting some dances, the local law enforcement showed up for a visit. They were just passing by, and nothing was going on as far as I was concerned, but I wouldn't be surprised if their visits aren't regular, given how the girls "take care" of their regulars...overall, nothing to write home about, but if you like cheap liquor (I don't drink) you might like to stop in and hang out. Cans of beer are $2.25 on Wednesdays, which ironically was $1 less than my Diet Coke!
