I have not hesitated in the past to blast the Landing Strip management for screwing up what was once one of the best clubs in Detroit. I stopped by last week and things are finally looking up. The $5 wristband requirement is gone along with the video machines that were located at the bottom of the stairs. During the day the price of beer is $3 and drops to $2.50 during 4-7 happy hour. The advertised price of well drinks was $5 all day. Dance prices remained at $25 and really no one there is worth the price. As far as mileage I think that hand in the pants might be the best one could hope for as long as the VIP area remains the same. After happy hour beer goes to $7.50 and there is a $10 cover charge.
