Wednesday afternoon, 4:00. No cover. Less crowded than usual at that time of day; maybe 10 unoccupied tables.

Lots of dancers working, but only a few that really caught my eye. Those few stayed very busy and never came around to offer me a dance. When one was on stage, I tipped her $5 and asked her to *please* come see me, and she said she would... but the gentleman she was dancing for before she went on stage expected her back, so it might be a while before she got around to me. Sigh.

I accepted offers for a couple of dances, and they were OK but nothing special. Usually, if a dancer isn't totally my type physically, she can still extract a lot of cash from me with good dances, but that didn't happen this time. Dances were routine; a small amount of contact, delivered mechanically. (One dancer never made *any* eye contact with me; she *constantly* looked around the room.) I decided to save my remaining cash and brain cells for another day.
