I visited the Manhattan club on...

I visited the Manhattan club on Thursday 3/14 arriving about 9 pm. I had fairly high expectations based on the very favorable reviews posted here, and I'm afraid I must be contrarian - just as I am for my review of Paradise City in Lexington (which please see) the previous night.

On the pro side, the Manhattan club is nicely decorated and clean, with a decent bar and a very friendly staff, including the bouncers, waitstaff, and dancers. I certainly agree on that count with previous high reviews. The drink prices are, as noted, fair - more in line with regular bar prices than club prices, and are not higher for dancers.

I was barely seated when I was joined by Meike -who is very sweet, interesting to talk to, and has a great smile, but is a little heavier than I expect for dancers; a solid 6.
