Wish I could give a good...

Wish I could give a good review, because I was really looking forward to visiting Chesters on my recent trip to Gboro based on the info on TUSCL. But I stupidly arrived right at opening (7:30 pm) on a Friday night, and there was no one, I mean no one, in the place except me, the bartender, and one dancer who the manager sent over to sit with me. She was friendly enough, but not really engaging, and nothing really happened between us. There was absolutely no stage action -- they were waiting for customers. I stayed around & had two beers, and a full hour later, still no other customers or stage action. At least the door girl took pity on me and waived the membership fee. The bartender was also very friendly & gave me a free shot of some concoction he was whipping up for the night crowd. I gave up and headed over to Platinum Club, which was of course fully rocking by this time. Next time I'm in Gboro I will try Chester's again, because it's a nice-looking place that's easy to find with friendly staff, but I will certainly not try to enter before 10 pm.
