The Sundowner remains my favorite strip...

The Sundowner remains my favorite strip club destination. However, there were a few chinks in the armor during a mid-week getaway to the falls in mid/late Feb. Visited the club on a Tue and Thu evening, as well as lunchtime on Fri as I was heading out of town. The evening visits were as quiet as I have ever seen the club at that time of day (though the place certainly wasn't empty). Cover charges of less than $5 reflected that. A number of dancers complained about how quiet the season was; the declining economy (especially in the Rust Belt) and weak American dollar are taking a toll. On the other hand, the lunch visit was fairly active for that time of day.

The club continues to have a number of very attractive women, and most folks should have no trouble finding several who strike their fancy. The laps are as awesome as legal Canadian laps can be; the patron can (and is often encouraged to) touch anywhere but the genitals, and some dancers will engage in light stick-shifting. My Tue and Fri visits were great, and I left a very happy guy on both occasions. But Thu was perhaps my only disappointing visit ever to the Downer. The dancer/patron ratio got lower and lower as the evening went on, and by 9pm I headed out the door to give Penthouse a try.

That experience notwithstanding, this is still a must-visit anytime I'm in the area.
