Roxy's has been a favorite club...

Roxy's has been a favorite club for years. Its never been much to look at, old carpeting, ceiling leaks, but the girls are always pleasant and fun and some are very attractive.

Lately, they have stopped advertising in the local paper (River Front Times), and just in the last two weeks they did away with their best promotion: $1.99 drinks which has been on Wednesday's for years. The customer's have stopped coming in and some of the best girls have left. Still a fair number of regular girls there but they are complaining about not making any money every other time (or more) that they work.

I went there last Wednesday (March 5, 2008), paid $6 to get in only to find out that the drink specials were gone. $5.25 for a freakin' beer but I tried not to let it bother me. The place wasn't crowded (just a few customers and not too many dancers) yet the manager, Keith I think, opened a second stage. The girl I was with got annoyed because it meant that she would constantly get called back up to the stage vs. spending quality time with the paying customers (mainly me). This same manager seems to stare at the guys in the club a lot, and he twirls his keys around and even takes out a flash light and looks around. A bit unpleasant especially if you want to spend the money to go into the private area, which I did anyway.
